So, you’ve decided to explore Rhodes on two wheels? Excellent choice. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a first-time adventurer, there’s truly no better way to discover the island’s hidden gems, winding mountain roads and sun-soaked coastal stretches than by motorcycle. But before you rev the engine and hit the open road, you’ll want to make sure your packing game is on point.

Here’s our no-nonsense, rider-approved packing guide to ensure you’re fully prepped for an unforgettable Rhodes motorcycle tour.

🧥 1. Lightweight Riding Gear

Yes, it’s sunny Greece – but safety comes first. Pack lightweight protective riding gear. A breathable mesh jacket with armour, ventilated gloves, and textile trousers will keep you protected without melting under the Aegean sun.

Top tip: We do provide helmets and gear if you’re joining one of our guided tours – but you’re always welcome to bring your own if you prefer the feel of familiar kit.

😎 2. Sunglasses (and a Buff or Neck Gaiter)

It gets bright out there – and windy when you're cruising the coast. A pair of quality sunglasses or a tinted visor is a must. A buff or lightweight neck gaiter also comes in handy for keeping dust and sun off your neck and face.

☀️ 3. Sun Protection

You’d be surprised how many bikers come back a bit lobster-red after a day on the road. Trust us – Greek sun doesn’t mess about. Pack high SPF sunscreen, lip balm with UV protection, and maybe even some after-sun just in case.

🩳 4. Casual Clothes for Evenings in Greece - It's not just about the motorcycle tour

When the engine’s off and the day’s ride is done, you’ll want something comfy to relax in. Think shorts, a few T-shirts, swimwear, and sandals or trainers for strolling through picturesque villages or enjoying a cold Mythos at a seafront taverna.

📸 5. A Camera or Smartphone with Space

The views in Rhodes are absolutely unreal – think ancient ruins, pine forests, sea cliffs and sleepy villages. Bring a camera or make sure your phone has space because you’ll want to remember every twist and turn.

💳 6. Travel Essentials

  • Travel insurance (make sure it covers motorcycle riding!)

  • Driving licence – Full motorcycle licence is a must if you’re riding your own bike or hiring.

  • Spare cash & cards – Most places take card, but some of the more remote mountain cafés prefer cash.

  • Small backpack or tank bag for daily bits and bobs.

🧼 7. A Few ‘Just in Case’ Items

  • Lightweight rain jacket (rare but handy)

  • Power bank for your phone

  • Hydration tablets if you’re riding in peak summer heat

  • Basic first aid kit (plasters, painkillers, etc.)

🌍 Travel Light, Ride Free

One of the best parts of a motorcycle tour in Rhodes is how freeing it feels. No dragging suitcases around – just you, the road, and a handpicked route through one of the most stunning islands in the Med.

Whether you're touring solo or joining us for a guided motorcycle adventure, knowing what to pack means you can focus on the ride, the scenery, and the unforgettable memories you’re about to make.
